Police in Nagpur, Maharashtra, claimed on Thursday that a labourer was slain by a teenager for allegedly breaking the latter's cellphone.
Saliram alias Rinku Kumar (31) was recognised as the guy, and the youngster was seized following the incident, which occurred late Wednesday night, they added.
Kumar and the accused were both from Uttar Pradesh's Siddharth Nagar district and lived in the city, according to the police.
The victim needed to call his relatives in his native village and requested the adolescent for his phone, which he denied, resulting in a verbal altercation. Kumar made a call from the teen's phone after a while and then broke it by striking it on the ground, they alleged.
According to the authorities, the adolescent became enraged and fatally attacked Kumar.
