ANI reported that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), a vocal opponent of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will not accompany PM Modi to the airport when he arrives in Hyderabad on Saturday to take part in the two-day BJP National Executive meeting for the third time in the previous six months. On the other hand, the sources claim that KCR would welcome Yashwant Sinha, the presidential candidate for the opposition, at the Begumpet Airport barely a few hours before PM Modi arrives at the same airport. KCR has been working to oppose and build a powerful resistance to the NDA for a while now. KCR has declared that he will support Sinha in the 2018 presidential elections.

Yashwant Sinha will be greeted at the airport by all other ministers, including Chief Minister KCR, however only one TRS minister would be there to do so, according to ANI. Notably, CM KCR is avoiding the custom of greeting a visiting Prime Minister for the third time in six months.

When PM Modi visited the state in May to attend the 20th anniversary festivities at the Indian School of Business, he had previously travelled to Bengaluru (ISB). KCR missed the Prime Minister's visit to Hyderabad in February of this year. Today marks the beginning of the two-day Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Executive meeting in Hyderabad.

BJP leadership gathering

On Saturday, the BJP will host an executive meeting in Hyderabad with a focus on the upcoming elections. At the meeting at the Hyderabad International Convention Center, BJP national president JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Ministers of 19 states, and other prominent BJP members would be present.

PM Modi will be present at the gathering and will probably speak to the national executive on Sunday.

PM Modi is anticipated to provide a plan for the party in his speech, particularly as it relates to the upcoming Assembly elections in important states like Gujarat.
