The National Investigation Agency (NIA) asserted that no terrorist organisation was engaged in the horrifying Udaipur beheading incident as the investigation into the murder got underway; this assertion has been disputed by the Rajasthan Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS), according to IANS. The state anti-terror agency questioned the NIA's assertions late on Friday night and referred to them as premature statements because the probe is still in its early stages. On the other hand, according to the IANS report, Rajasthan ATS sources alleged that the accused had communication with two Pakistani nationals and that the horrifying act's video had been uploaded on a Pakistani WhatsApp group with the message "the order has been completed."
ISIS's role in the Udaipur murder
IANS quotes sources as saying that both of the defendants have contact with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
"Nine Pakistani nationals with terrorism backgrounds were in contact with Ghouse. Throughout the murder, he received numerous calls from Pakistan. He had been handed a more terroristic mission to do by his Pakistani handler. Additionally, he was instructed to murder a merchant in Udaipur's sector 11. Mohsin and Asif were given the task of conducting a reconnaissance of each target "said IANS, sources.
The report went on to say that Ghouse had visited Karachi in 2014, when he had contact with the Dawat-e-Islami group. He has kept in touch with them ever since. There, he received terrorist training.
CCTV footage of this event earlier on Friday showed the suspects, Ghouse Mohammad and Riyaz Jabbar, escape on a bike. This bike's registration number, "2611," is associated with the Mumbai terror attacks.
Suspension of Udaipur ASP
Notably, Udaipur Additional SP Ashok Kumar Meena was fired by the state administration on Friday night. SHO and SI were also suspended earlier.
