Near the scene of the disaster in Noney, Manipur, there has been another landslide. This occurs as Manipur is still reeling from the "worst incident in the state's history," according to Chief Minister N Biren. A second landslide occurred on the night between Wednesday and Thursday close to the company position of the 107 Territorial Army of the Indian Army stationed close to Tupul Railway Station to guard the under-construction Jiribam to Imphal railway line.

The number of fatalities at the scene of the Noney disaster in Manipur has risen to above 22 as of this point.

"During the search on July 1, the mortal remains of eight additional Territorial Army soldiers and four more civilians were discovered. Five civilians and fifteen members of the Territorial Army have had their bodies found so far." Hindu Army said

In the meantime, 13 members of the Territorial Army as well as five civilians were also saved by the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, Territorial Army, SDRF, and NDRF.

The Indian Army added, "The mortal remains of Territorial Army men are being sent with full military honours to their respective home stations. The search for 29 civilians and 15 members of the Territorial Army who have gone missing will never stop."
