An airline spokeswoman said on Wednesday that a SpiceJet cargo plane with a destination of China made a Tuesday return to Kolkata owing to malfunctioning weather radar. According to the spokesman, the SpiceJet freighter aircraft, a Boeing 737, was scheduled to fly from Kolkata to Chongquing, but after takeoff, it was discovered that the weather radar was inoperable.
