The Manipur government announced that all public and private schools in the state would be halted through July 24 because to the rising number of Covid-19 cases and the state's test positivity rate ratio of over 15%.
Tuesday saw 59 new Covid-19 cases reported from Manipur, according to the state health bulletin.
47 people had positive results for coronavirus infections on Monday.
Currently, there are 66,135 total cases in the state, and there have been 57,264 recoveries.
In the state, Covid-19 has already claimed the lives of 2,120 persons in total. The positive rate is at 15.6%.
