Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate and lay the cornerstone for a number of NTPC green energy projects totaling more than 5,200 crore rupees. Additionally, he will use video conferencing to open floating solar projects in Telangana and Kerala and introduce the electricity sector's updated distribution sector strategy. The Prime Minister's Office stated in a release that the redesigned distribution sector strategy will contribute to increasing the operational effectiveness and financial viability of the DISCOMs and power agencies.
The largest floating solar PV project in India is the 100 MW Ramagundam project in Telangana, which has 4.5 lakh "Made in India" solar PV modules. The second largest floating solar PV project is the 92 MW Kayamkulam project in Kerala, which has 3 lakh "Made in India" solar PV panels floating on water.
In addition to taking part in the grand finale of "Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya - Power @ 2047," Prime Minister Modi will launch a national solar rooftop portal that will allow for online tracking of the installation of rooftop solar plants.
