Three people have been detained by the Uran police on suspicion of killing a 34-year-old lady by drowning her and burying her body. The woman's spouse and brother-in-law are among those detained.
Even though the incident happened on July 24, it wasn't revealed until Friday, at which point the accused were taken into custody. On Saturday, Uran police detained the suspects, Samadhan Ram Katkari (34), her brother-in-law Navnath (29), and their friend Gajanan Hari Katkari (28).
Suresh Gopinath Hilam (33), a cousin of the dead Vijaya Waghmare, received a call from an unknown number earlier this week notifying him that his sister had passed away and that her husband had buried her privately without telling anyone.
