In the third Twenty20 international, played in Basseterre on Tuesday, India defeated West Indies by seven wickets and took a 2-1 series lead thanks to opener Suryakumar Yadav's outstanding 76.

India successfully chased down a total of 165 with one over remaining thanks to wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant's unbeaten 33 and eight fours and four sixes from Yadav in his 44-ball innings.

The West Indies, who were given the opportunity to bat first, finished their innings on 164/5 after opener Kyle Mayers scored 73 runs off of 50 balls while Rovman Powell and Shimron Hetmyer added a few quick runs toward the conclusion of the game.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, an Indian speed bowler, claimed 2-35 wickets, while all-rounder Hardik Pandya and seamer Arshdeep Singh also each claimed one victim.
