On Wednesday, Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, will reorganise her Cabinet before departing for New Delhi, where she is anticipated to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On Wednesday, there will be a minor restructuring. Four to five ministers will be assigned to work on organisational tasks. Five to six more members would be added to the Cabinet, Banerjee informed reporters on Monday.

This will be the first such reorganisation since the Trinamool Congress (TMC) assumed control in May of last year for the third time in a row.

While the Enforcement Directorate (ED) detained Partha Chatterjee in connection with an alleged multi-crore recruitment fraud in government schools, two cabinet ministers Subrata Mukherjee and Sadhan Pande passed away.
