The 'DigiYatra' application, which travellers may now use for quicker e-boarding at the airport, was soft launched on Monday by The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the airport operator at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport.
Before the application was made fully active for the Delhi airport, the airport had been testing the biometric-based software and facility for the past few months with over 20,000 passengers being screened during the trial phase.
"The DigiYatra app's beta version is currently accessible at the Playstore" (for Android platforms). The same programme will be made accessible on the App Store (for the iOS platform) in a few weeks, according to a DIAL representative. The facility is currently only available at Terminal 3, where all domestic travellers must download it and register themselves before flying.
