The number of new Covid-19 cases in India increased by 10,256 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of coronavirus infections in the nation to 44,389,176, according to data released on Friday by the Union Health Ministry. The number of active COVID-19 cases has decreased by 3,340 over the course of one day.
The health warning said that there were 90,707 active cases at the time. The number of active cases makes up 0.20 percent of all cases.
During the same period, 68 people died, bringing the total number of fatalities to 5,27,556; 29 of the deaths were reconciled by Kerala.
Six people from Maharashtra, four from Rajasthan, three from Chhattisgarh, one from Karnataka, two from Jammu and Kashmir, one each from Kerala, Punjab, and West Bengal, and six from Maharashtra are among the most recent fatalities.
According to the government, the national Covid recovery rate was 98.61%, while the daily positive rate was 2.43 %.
