Later today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the Sabarmati River pedestrian-only Atal Bridge in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The famous bridge, which is 14 meters wide and approximately 300 meters long, bears the name of the late former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The bridge links the future arts and culture centre on the eastern end of the riverfront with the flower garden on the western end.
