In a low-scoring thriller in Townsville on Saturday, Zimbabwe made history by upsetting Aaron Finch's team by three wickets to win their first-ever match against Australia Down Under. Thanks in major part to Ryan Burl's fantastic bowling performance (5/10), which removed the final five Australian wickets in the space of 18 deliveries, Zimbabwe put on an incredible bowling display, folding the hosts on 141. In reality, David Warner was responsible for 94 of Australia's 141 runs during the contest.

Tadiwanashe Marumani (35) and Regis Chakabwa (37) contributed significantly to the team during the run chase, and even though Josh Hazlewood (3/30), Mitchell Starc, Cameron Green, Marcus Stoinis, and Ashton Agar frequently injured Zimbabwe, the team eventually completed the mark in 39 overs.

Zimbabwe earned a historic ODI victory on Australian soil when Brad Evans scored the decisive runs against Starc.
