After news broke on Saturday that India had surpassed the United Kingdom to become the fifth-largest economy in the world, former chief economic advisor Dr. Arvind Virmani forecast that by 2030, India would surpass China and the United States to become the third-largest economy in the world.

According to experts, India's advantage over the UK is projected to grow over the next few years since it is currently regarded as one of the main economies with the quickest rate of growth in the world, according to news agency PTI.
