Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had his bail extended in a counterterrorism case till September 20.

The pre-arrest bail request of Imran Khan in a terror case for allegedly threatening Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry during a public rally in Islamabad on August 20 was granted an extension on Monday by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad, according to Geo News.

The former prime minister allegedly threatened Islamabad with extra sessions in court if Zeba Chaudhry extended PTI leader Shahbaz Gill's remand in his speech at a public gathering last month.

The party had asked the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to give transit bail to Khan till August 25, but the court told him to go to an ATC because it was a matter involving terrorism.
