At least 15 persons are said to have perished in a terrible incident involving a bus in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district, around 530 kilometres from the state capital of Bhopal. Numerous people were injured while riding the bus, which was travelling from Hyderabad, Telangana, to Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, shared information about the tragedy with Yogi Adityanath in a series of tweets, expressing his sorrow over it. The rescue effort is actively underway, he emphasised. He emphasised in another post that "We are standing with those who have lost their family members in this hour of sadness."

Yogi Adityanath offered compensation amounts of Rs. 2 lakh for the surviving family members and Rs. 50,000 for the injured. He sent out a message in Hindi that said, "My sympathy are with the families afflicted."

According to Navneet Bhasin, superintendent of police in Rewa, all passengers "are thought to be residents of UP," ANI earlier reported. 20, of the 40 hurt have been sent to a medical in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. He stated that the bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Gorakhpur. Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra of Madhya Pradesh expressed sympathy for the deceased, calling the event "sad."
