Four of the Rajya Sabha's committees, including the privileges and ethics committee, were reformed on Monday.

Members of the privileges panel are Anil Jain, Elamaram Kareem, Kumar Ketkar, Saroj Pandey, Sasmit Patra, GVL Narsimha Rao, Abhishek Singhvi, Rakesh Sinha, and GK Vasan. The privileges panel will be presided over by deputy chairperson of the Rajya Sabha Harivansh. Singhvi has been added to the panel as a new member.

Prakash Javadekar, a former Union minister, will now serve as the chairman of the ethics panel, which investigates problems relating to members' behaviour. Other members include Elamaram Kareem, Sanjay Singh, Tiruchi Siva, V Vijayasai Reddy, K Kesava Rao, Derek O'Brien, Jairam Ramesh, and Tiruchi Siva.

Harivansh will also serve as the chairman of the business advisory group, which talks about the Rajya Sabha's daily agenda. Union minister Bhupendra Yadav will also serve on the committee.

This panel has former minister Javadekar on it. Laxmikant Bajpayee, Misa Bharti, O'Brien, Jairam, Rao, Reddy, and Singh will also be included as members.

The rules committee for the Upper House has also been reorganised in the meantime.
