The topic of this year's Constitution Day is "Bharat: Loktantra Ki Janani (India: The Mother Of Democracy)," and the preamble will be made available on the website in all 22 official languages.

For the day's events, the government has aimed to get as many officials, their families, and friends involved as possible. Since 2015, the government has observed November 26 as Constitution Day. On November 26, 1949, the Constituent Assembly passed the Constitution. It started working on January 26, 1950. On this day, homage is paid to Bhimrao Ambedkar, the chairman of the Constitution-drafting committee.
