The agenda for UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson's visit to India next week is scheduled to include a bilateral free trade agreement, collaboration in fields ranging from security to education, and the Ukraine situation.

People familiar with the subject said on Thursday that, with the free trade deal dominating recent engagements between the two countries, Johnson and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi will assess the conversations thus far and give recommendations for the personnel working in the negotiations.

In the latter week of this month, India will hold the third round of trade talks in a hybrid format in New Delhi. For these conversations, a British delegation will travel to India.

Since exiting the European Union, the United Kingdom has been eager to forge new trade agreements with top economies, and the British government is focused on completing a deal with India as soon as possible.
