The Indian Coast Guard intercepted a Pakistani boat with nine crew members on board in the Arabian Sea near the state's coast on Monday in a joint operation with the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), and seized heroin worth Rs 280 crore from the vessel.

When the Pakistani boat 'Al Haj' sailed into Indian waters, Indian Coast Guard ships stopped and detained it, according to a defence spokesperson.

Officials discovered heroin worth Rs 280 crore on the boat, according to the statement, and the boat and its crew members were taken to Jakhau port in Gujarat's Kutch district for further investigation.
