Months Before Their Wedding, An Assam Woman Cop Arrests Her Fiance On Fraud Charges.

On Thursday, an Assam woman cop arrested her own fiance on fraud charges in Nagaon district, in an unusual scenario (May 5, 2022).

Junmoni Rabha, a Sub-Inspector in Nagaon, came to know about alleged crimes perpetrated by Rana Pogag, filed a FIR, and detained him, according to the police.

According to the police, the accused falsely claimed to be an Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Public Relations Officer and allegedly defrauded numerous people out of millions of rupees by offering them positions with the ONGC.

ONGC phoney seals and numerous damning papers, including bogus identification cards, were discovered during the investigation.

Meanwhile, Rabha said in an interview that she and Pogag were ceremonially engaged in October of last year and planned to marry in November of this year.

Rabha had previously made headlines in January after a telephonic conversation between her and Bihpuria MLA Amiya Kumar Bhuyan was exposed on social media.
