The Punjab and Haryana High Court today granted relief to BJP politician Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, whose detention on Friday sparked a cat-and-mouse chase involving three states' police.
The high court has decided that Mr Bagga, who is accused of posting offensive statements on social media, fostering religious animosity, and criminal intimidation in a case filed in Mohali, cannot be arrested until July 5.
