It's highly likely to proceed northwestwards for the following few hours, passing close to the coast of Andhra Pradesh in the West Central Bay of Bengal. It's highly likely to recurve slowly north-northeastwards after that, moving along the beaches of Machilipatnam, Narsapur, Yanam, Kakinada, Tuni, and Visakhapatnam, according to IMD. By this evening, Asani is expected to emerge into the westcentral Bay of Bengal off the shores of North Andhra Pradesh.
