Moga Police retrieved the body of a missing 25-year-old guy from a drain inside a gunny bag on Thursday (May 12, 2022) after his presumed death from drug consumption. The body of the missing teen was located four days later. His three pals, who allegedly provided him narcotics, allegedly panicked after he died and threw his body in a drain after placing it inside a gunny bag, according to the police.
According to a report in The Indian Express, since the teen went missing on May 8, his father claims he has been compelled to go from one police station to the next because officers refused to file a missing persons complaint.
"I felt humiliated... The father was reported in the paper as stating, "I felt like dying, and no one helped."
Amandeep Singh, a resident of Mehna village, went missing on May 8, according to the report. His body recovered from the drain four days afterwards. Following the discovery of the body, the police filed a FIR based on his father's statement, Tarsem Singh, an ex-serviceman who works as a security guard at a bank.
In the FIR, the young man's father mentioned three people: Des Raj, Ashok, and Jassi, and claimed that his son was a drug addict. The father also said that these three guys forced him to use narcotics (chitta).
Even when the father told the trio repeatedly not to involve his kid in drugs, they summoned Amandeep to Saddan Wali Basti on Moga's Lal Singh Road on May 8. The father approached the police after Amandeep did not return home and his automobile was found. Following that, police officers called him just after midnight on Wednesday to inform him that his son's body had been retrieved from a drain.
