India To Rexamine BPCL Divestment After Planned Expansion

After the state-run refiner completes the planned development of some projects, India's government will take another look at plans for the disposal of Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL), a source told reporters on Wednesday.

According to the source, the government put the privatisation of BPCL on hold because it only received one bid.

According to Reuters, the government is considering selling up to a quarter of BPCL after failing to find buyers for the entire company.
