According to authorities, a collision between a passenger bus and a lorry on the outskirts of Hubli, Karnataka, killed seven persons and injured 26 others. According to ANI, the injured are being treated at KIMS hospital in Hubli. Both of the vehicles' drivers died on the scene. According to officials, the collision occurred early Tuesday morning on the Pune-Bengaluru Highway. The bodies of the deceased are being handed over to their families.

According to authorities, the passenger bus was travelling from Kolhapur to Bangalore when it collided with a lorry travelling towards Dharwad at around 12:30 a.m. as the bus driver was attempting to overtake a tractor. Meanwhile, the event has been reported to the police. More research is being carried out.
