Siddhanth Kapoor, actor Shakti Kapoor's son, has been arrested for allegedly consuming drugs at a Bengaluru hotel party, police said today.
Police raided the Park Hotel party after receiving a tip and sent samples of roughly 35 visitors for medical testing. Officials reported that five guests tested positive for narcotics, with Siddhanth Kapoor being one of them.
Siddhanth Kapoor was invited to the celebration as a DJ. A total of five more persons have been apprehended.
"Five people, including Siddhanth Kapoor, have been arrested after they tested positive for drug use. The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) has been used to charge them all "District General of Police, East Division, Bheemashankar S Guled stated.
Mr Guled stated that all five of them will appear in court later today.
Officials said it was unclear whether they used drugs at the hotel or came to the party after taking narcotics outside.
"Shootout At Wadala," "Haseena Parkar," and "Jazbaa" are among the films in which Siddhanth Kapoor has appeared.
In 2020, the Narcotics Control Bureau questioned Siddhanth's sister Shraddha Kapoor in connection with suspicions of a Bollywood-drugs nexus following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
